Important Pricing Update

Effective November 1, 2026

Dear Valued Clients,

At The Pet Spaw & Lounge, our priority has always been providing your pets with the highest level of care while maintaining the quality, time, and attention that goes into every groom.

Effective November 1, 2026, we will be implementing a 3.5% increase across all grooming services. This adjustment will help us accommodate continued increases in operating costs while allowing us to maintain the level of care and service you have come to expect from us.

Grooming Frequency & Pricing

We will also be introducing additional pricing for pets who have three months or longer between professional grooming appointments.

Regular grooming plays an important role in maintaining your pet’s skin and coat health. Pets maintained on a consistent grooming schedule generally require less extensive coat preparation, allowing our groomers to maintain their coats more efficiently and comfortably.

When three months or more pass between grooming appointments, additional time and work are often required to properly prepare and complete the groom. Even when significant matting is not present, an overgrown coat may require additional bathing, drying, brushing, coat preparation, clipper and scissor work, and greater precision to achieve the desired finished groom.

For this reason, all pets returning three months or longer after their previous professional grooming appointment will be subject to an additional grooming charge.

The amount of the additional charge will vary based on factors including:

• The length of time between grooming appointments
• Coat length, density, and overall condition
• Matting, tangling, or impacted undercoat
• Additional brushing, preparation, or de-matting required
• The additional grooming time and precision necessary to safely complete the groom

These additional charges reflect the increased time, labour, and attention required when a pet has gone an extended period between professional grooms.

Specialized Grooming Appointments

Specialized grooming options, including early-morning, late-day, and one-on-one grooming appointments, may be available depending on staff availability and the time of year.

These appointments are offered at an additional cost due to the extended scheduling, individualized attention, or specialized care required. Availability and additional fees will vary depending on the service requested. Please contact our team in advance to discuss available options and pricing.

Pre-Booking Your Appointments

One of the easiest ways to maintain a consistent grooming schedule is to pre-book your pet’s appointments in advance.

We are happy to pre-book your pet’s grooming appointments for the entire year! This helps keep your pet on a consistent grooming schedule while also allowing you to secure appointment dates and times that work best for you.

Pre-booking is especially encouraged for clients who prefer specific days, times, groomers, or specialized appointment options, as our schedule can fill quickly.

Our team is always happy to recommend an appropriate grooming frequency based on your pet’s breed, coat type, lifestyle, and individual needs and can help establish a recurring schedule that works for you and your pet.
